Battlefield 2 Expansion Pack in the Works!

Wow, that was quick. IGN are reporting that Battlefield 2 already has an expansion deep in production, with even has a rather interesting developer interview to back it up. EA are somewhat infamous for their expansion packs, some of which could be considered franchise milking on a shameless scale, but this one sounds reasonably interesting.
The title is Battlefield 2: Special Forces, and the emphasis appears to be primarily on infantry combat, including some fancy new gadgets such as nightvision and zip-lines. Battlefield 2 goes Splinter Cell?
This new style of play will be bundled with six new armies, ten new vehicles and a whopping great twelve new weapons. These will all be used across seven new maps, many of which use a sweet new night-time theme...something of a first for the series.
Screenshots can be found along with a huge dollop of further info in the aforementioned interview, and personally the whole thing makes me think Operation Flashpoint. Roll on November...
