Two Awesome Trailers to Miss At Your Peril
Posted by Diggler - 25/7/2005 15:07

Try to put Force Commander and Galactic Battlegrounds out of your mind...if you can
Although neither of these titles are due out for a good while yet, here's a couple of brand spanking new trailers to wet your whistle. First up is Empire at War - a game that I had absolutely no interest in until footage started appearing online a few months ago - now it's one of my most eagerly awaited games of next year.

Admittedly the ground combat looks like business as usual for the RTS genre, but it's the space combat which'll blow your mind. As a Star Wars RTS, Empire at War is joining a family of infamous failures, but this looks set to be the first genuine beauty, and should shame even Battle For Middle-Earth.

The trailer brings back pleasing RE4 memories, while also crossing 28 Days Later with Black Hawk Down. Bizarre, but oh so exciting
Second up is a no doubt future classic that will have even the most jaded of console gamers frothing at the mouth. That's right folks, it's Resident Evil 5 (aka Biohazard) - sequel to arguably the year's greatest action game on any system.

Unfortunately for Nintendo, it appears they've been left out of the party this time round, with the title currently slated for only PS3 and X360 release. From this footage (which I'm 90% sure is all in-engine), we're in for something very, very special indeed.
