FEAR already hit the net in leaked multiplayer beta form a while back, but now you can experience the considerably more impressive (and absolutely terrifying) single player game thanks to this official demo.
The good; graphics are simply phenomenal, unquestionably some of the best out there. The action is also great fun, with fantastic AI on the enemy troops, as they stick to cover, dive through windows and even attempt flanking manoeuvres. The atmosphere is oh so spooky too, with one particular moment involving a ladder making me physically jump in terror.
But perhaps best of all, the particle gun found about halfway through this demo is without question one of the very best weapons ever seen in a videogame, and has already made my top 10 list of gaming guns.
The bad; nothing. Try it, you'll see. This is the next Half-Life, folks.
