Microsoft announced today that more than 14 million Xbox power cables need replacing due to health and safety risks. Although fires are a potential problem, more than likely consoles will only experience internal component failure apparently (as opposed to, well, human life failure).
Either way, replacements are being offered for free via the official Xbox web site. If you're an Xboxer, get it ordered now before you burn.
